About our pastor
As founder and pastor of LightHouse Christian Center in San Fernando, CA., Rev. Cubit has been a powerful. visionary that has guided the church from humble storefront beginnings to an ever-growing corner lot sanctuary where Jesus is Lord!
Rev. Cubit is known for her bold uncompromising stand in the Lord. She ministers soul-stirring faith- building sermons every Sunday and continues her no-nonsense teachings at her weekly Bible study. She also conducts monthly Leadership Training Bible Classes.
Rev. Cubit's faithful journey of service began at Calvary Baptist Church of Pacoima, CA under the leadership of Apostle William T. Broadous. For over 24 years she was loyal and devoted as Church clerk, Adult Choir Member, Member of Finance Committee, Chairperson of Women's Retreats and Conferences, Young Adult Teacher and Counselor, Chairperson of Calvary Christian School, Member and tutor of the Literacy Council, and she also served on many other committees and auxiliaries.
I n 1983 Rev. Cubit took a bold stand and began preaching in the Baptist Church at a time when it was unpopular for women to preach. But, in obedience to her calling, she pressed forward and pioneered the way for many others who came after her. In March 1989 she was ordained by Apostle Broadous.

Rev. Cubit attended Laverne University (Ecumencial Center for Black Churches) and Los Angeles Mission College. She also completed courses in Biblical Counseling and Teaching at Church on the Way in Van Nuys, CA..

As President of Mandie Cubit Ministries, Inc., which is an evangelistic healing and restoration ministry, Rev. Cubit is frequently called upon to minister at conferences, seminars, retreats, workshops, and many other forums that provide the opportunity to minister to the saved and unsaved. She is an author of her first book, "From the Kitchen to the Pulpit."

Currently, she is the founder and pastor of LightHouse Christian Center located in San Fernando, CA.
